- Have you found a supplier you would recommend to others?
- How easy, or difficult, have you found it to source goods and services from social enterprises?
- Does the quality and cost of social enterprise services compare well with those of commercial businesses?
- What kind of product or service can’t you find that others might be able to help you source?

Just discovered Shop for Change after being forwarded an email. Sounds interesting – will certainly keep checking back!
Colebridge Communications has an internship opportunity for a talented web designer. See http://www.solihull-sustain.org.uk/2011/07/web-designer-internship/ for details
Excellent. This service is going to make the task of finding suppliers who are SE’s much easier.
It would be nice to see organisation listings have more of a profile page and possibly customer feedback/rating?
Hi Alison,
Many thanks for getting in touch. We decided to link the directory back to the iSE site so people could be directed to our services and how we can offer business support to third sector organisations. We are in the midst of re-launching our website, due to go live in September… this is why the directory takes the current form it does… on our new website it’ll be a lot more accessible and will hopefully be integrated!
We are also in the process of creating some sort of evaluation form for the people who have used a service. Many thanks for all your suggestions and it’s great to have you on board and shopping for change!
This is a great idea and one that is long overdue.
One suggestion however is that the directory be integrated with the website allowing visitors to see a profile of the listed enterprise, and a feedback form for people who have used their services.
Many thanks,
Alison
I think Shop for Change is a great initiative. Good luck with the launch. Let’s hope it makes a real difference to third sector organisations in Birmingham.
Hi Micky,
Our organisation only covers Birmingham but you may get some help from Hereford Partners for Social Enterprise. More info here: http://www.herefordshire.gov.uk/community_and_living/neighbourhood/26566.asp
Does your directory cover social enterprises outside of the Birmingham area? I am thinking of setting up my web design business as an SE but am based in Hereford?
Any help appreciated.
